Summer Lunch Program

Beginning this summer, a new federal program will provide debit cards to families with children eligible to receive free/reduced lunch at schools participating in the National School Lunch Program. The debit cards are intended to help families purchase food during the summer months while school is not in session. Please see the below flyers in both English and Spanish for more information.

Picture of Ms. Karen Carroll, Governor's Educator of the Year

Congratulations to Ms. Carroll (pictured, center) on her award.

Mr. Lederman said of her, "Mrs. Carroll is known as one of the most compassionate and caring educators at Park Ridge High School.  She has an outstanding ability to build relationships and takes care of her students as if they are her own children. She has an educational style that is refreshing and welcomed by both the student body and the staff she works with.  The PRHS faculty and staff is proud to congratulate Mrs. Carroll on this prestigious honor.  "

Two Questions with Ms. Carroll:

What is the best part of teaching for you – what do you enjoy the most?

Having worked at PRHS since 2000 in the Special Education Department, the best part of teaching has been the different relationships I get to make with the students and my fellow co-workers every day.

What’s a fun fact about you that you think your students would love to know?

A fun fact that I would like to share about myself is that I graduated from Vineland High School in NJ and there were over 750 students in my class; where I was named Most Athletic of this class.
